New Driving Test Cancellation Rules Effective Now

The DVSA has extended the notice period required to cancel or rearrange your practical driving test without losing your fee. This move aims to reduce the "black market" for test slots and free up dates for genuine learners.

Critical Changes:

10-Day Notice: You must now give 10 clear working days' notice to change a test.
Booking Limits: Learners are limited to one active test booking at a time to prevent hoarding.
Automatic Refunds: Refunds are now processed within 3 working days if criteria are met.

Security Overhaul for the Test Booking Service

To combat automated "bots" stealing test slots, the DVSA has launched a new multi-factor authentication (MFA) system. Learners will now need to verify their identity via a one-time code sent to their mobile or email.

What you need to do:

Ensure your Provisional License contact details are up to date.
Avoid using 3rd party "test finder" apps that violate DVSA Terms of Service.
Log in 5 minutes before the Monday morning 6 AM slot release.
